Marine Renewables Canada’s Chris Campbell chosen as one of Canada’s Clean50

Chris Campbell will be amongst approximately 100 past and present Clean50 Honourees meeting next week at the “Clean50 Summit 3.0” on Toronto Island, to spend a day amongst peers and colleagues tackling common sustainability challenges.

The work in building Canada’s marine renewables industry through the development of the Ocean Renewable Energy Group (OREG) and now Marine Renewables Canada gained him a nomination for the 2014 Clean50 and the Toronto meeting will recognize the chosen 50 (www.clean50.com).

Gavin Pitchford, Chief Talent Officer, Delta Management Group explains:

“Canada’s Clean50 Awards are announced annually by Delta Management Group to recognize those 50 individuals or small teams, from 16 different categories, who have done the most to advance the cause of sustainability and clean capitalism in Canada over the past 2 years.”

“Honourees are chosen after rigourous screening and research by Delta Management, with advice from internal researchers and external advisors, and are selected from an initial pool of nearly 500 well qualified candidates.”

“We are pleased to see the efforts to move on Canada’s economic and energy opportunity from our rivers and oceans being recognized and profiled” says Campbell.  This is the second time that the marine renewables sector has been profiled—OREG  Navigator Award winner James Taylor is a 2012 Clean50 honoree (http://clean50.com/about-the-2012-clean-50/clean-50/ )
