France – Nova Scotia/Canada Forum and Meetings – September 30th, Halifax
Marine Renewables Canada in partnership with the Government of Canada, Government of Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Business Inc., The Maritimes Energy Association, and Bretagne Commerce International, hosted an incoming mission from France focused on marine renewable energy.
As part of the mission, a forum business-to-business meeting event was held, providing a unique opportunity to connect with French firms in the lead up to the International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE) to take place in Halifax in 2014. Marine renewable energy development activity is increasing in France and poses potential for future collaboration and cooperation between France and Canada. In recent years France has established five test sites, an institute of excellence, and investments in dedicated port infrastructure for the emerging marine renewable energy industry.
