Marine Renewables Canada will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday, May 4th at 2:00 pm (AST) on: Class 43.1/43.2/CRCE and Marine Renewables”.

Webinar Description:

Class 43.1 and 43.2 are capital cost allowance classes in the Income Tax Regulations that allow for accelerated write-off of certain specified clean energy generation and energy conservation assets. These costs include the cost of acquisition and installation of the property.

Under the Regulations, certain assets that generate electricity using wave or tidal energy qualify.

Canadian Renewable and Conservation Expenses (CRCE) are a category of expenses designed to encourage investment in projects for which it is reasonable to expect that more than 50 percent of the capital cost would qualify for inclusion in Class 43.1/43.2.

This webinar will feature a presentation from:

Michel Francoeur, P.Eng., Class 43.1/43.2 Secretariat Engineer – Innovation and Energy Technology
Natural Resources Canada / Government of Canada

You will also have an opportunity to ask Mr. Francouer questions you may have about this topic.
