We recognize that building the marine renewable energy sector and supporting solutions that will contribute to decarbonization of other industries, requires collaboration, trust, and ongoing dialog with many different types of groups and organizations.

Marine Renewables Canada has always valued the power of collaboration and partnerships with like-minded organizations. Strategic collaborations and partnerships have allowed us to better support the marine renewable energy sector, and also contribute towards bigger picture efforts to advance renewable electricity, act on climate change, build a sustainable economy, and foster diversity and inclusivity in the energy sector.

We are grateful for our partners across Canada and internationally.

Alliances

Marine Renewables Canada is a founding member of the Canadian Council on Renewable Electricity (CanCORE), along with the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) and Waterpower Canada. Together, we work together to engage with the Canadian federal and provincial governments, and to advance our nation’s climate change leadership through the further development and use of renewable electricity.   Electricity Alliance Canada’s (EAC) mandate is to enable, promote and advocate for the increased use of electricity throughout the Canadian economy to help achieve Canada’s net-zero emissions target. Marine Renewables Canada works closely along with other founding members, Electricity Canada, Waterpower Canada, Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA), Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC), and Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) to develop strategic activities that help achieve this mandate.
