2025 Board of Directors Election – Candidates & Voting

Voting is now open for the Marine Renewables Canada 2025 Board of Directors Election. Voting will continue until 11:59 pm (AT) Friday, December 13, 2024.  

Marine Renewables Canada (MRC) is committed to the Government of Canada’s 50-30 Challenge which promotes diversity and inclusion on Canadian boards and in senior management. We’re seeking applicants that represent Canada’s rich diversity including women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, people who identify as LGBTQ2 and members of visible minority groups. MRC encourages its membership to support this commitment when casting votes.

There are THREE (3) seats available for the 2025 Board of Directors, with each seat designated for female candidates to ensure a gender balanced and diverse board. 

Six (6) nominations have been received for these three seats, therefore a vote is required. The candidates are:

  • Barb Bryden, Stakeholder Manager, DP Energy
  • Rudee Gaudet, Director Communications and Public Affairs, EverWind Fuels
  • Dawn MacDonald, Global Offshore Wind Market Sector Lead, Environment & Energy, AECOM
  • Maria Pallard, Principal Consultant, ABL Canada (Part of ABL Group)
  • Marina Winterbottom, Principal, Bluedot Environmental

How to vote  

Eligibility.  

To vote, you must be an MRC Full, Marine Energy Leader or Marine Energy Champion member in good standing.  

One vote per member company.  

Votes are counted by company. This means each member company will get one ballot and can vote for up to three (3) candidate(s). 

The first ballot received from your company will be the only ballot accepted. There are no exceptions. Please discuss with your colleagues prior to voting!
