As a valued member of Marine Renewables Canada, you already know we work with our members to advance shared policy goals, catalyze new business opportunities, and accelerate development of marine renewable energy in Canada and internationally. Now it’s time to share that value with your colleagues through MRC’s Member Referral Program. More members mean more connections, resources, and support for you and our growing industry!
How It Works:
All MRC members are eligible to earn rewards for new member company referrals.
The new member company will need to complete the member referral online application and indicate who referred them.
Program Rules:
- Referring company must be a member in good standing.
- Companies reinstating their membership are not eligible to count towards the referral program.
- A referral must result in a successful membership with MRC (referring a company who ultimately does not become a member, does not count towards the referral program)
How to talk to someone considering a membership with MRC:
- Share your favorite MRC membership benefit and how it has improved your business
- Explain your experiences and connections made during the MRC Annual Conference or other MRC hosted events
- Tell a story about a challenge that MRC assisted with/provided advice
- Share the MRC membership benefits package
- Share MRC’s vision of marine renewables accelerating Canada’s clean energy transition, and mission to champion Canada’s growing marine renewable energy sector through advocacy, engagement, education and expanded market opportunities.

Rewards:
- 1 referral – 15% discount on your 2025 membership renewal fee
- 2 referrals – 25% discount on your 2025 membership renewal fee
- 3 or more referrals in a calendar year – one complimentary registration to the MRC Annual Conference & 30% discount on your 2025 membership renewal fee
All members who successfully secure a new member will also be recognized and thanked in MRC’s Member Monthly and will receive a member spotlight on social media platforms.
