Join us as we celebrate a landmark moment for offshore wind and explore the exciting opportunities it brings to Nova Scotia.
Amendments to the federal and provincial versions of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act came into force on January 31st, establishing a regulatory framework for offshore renewable energy in the Canada-Nova Scotia offshore area and expanding the mandate of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board who will now be the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Energy Regulator.
Marine Renewables Canada, in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia, invite you to join us as we celebrate this major industry milestone – a critical step towards advancing offshore wind development in Nova Scotia.
This event will feature a conversation with The Honourable Trevor Boudreau, Minister of Energy, and The Honourable Colton LeBlanc, Minister of Growth and Development, who will highlight the leadership and actions being taken to accelerate growth of Nova Scotia’s offshore wind sector. Together, they will explore how offshore wind presents significant opportunities for the province and Canada, from creating new jobs and driving economic growth to positioning Nova Scotia as a leader in sustainable energy.
This is a prime opportunity to gain valuable insight into the Province’s next steps for offshore wind, while connecting with others in the industry and beyond to continue the dialogue on how we can collaborate to advance this sector and unlock this immense clean energy potential right in our own backyard.
