Atlantic Canada Wind Energy Supply Chain Information Session & Mixer | St. John’s, NL

April 28 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm NDT

Free – $50.00

Interested in new business and job opportunities in Atlantic Canada’s growing wind energy sector?

As Atlantic Canada’s offshore and onshore wind sector grows, so do the opportunities for local suppliers, businesses, and communities to participate in projects and reap the benefits. There’s never been a better time to learn more about how to get involved in the region’s wind energy development.

Join Marine Renewables Canada (MRC) for an in-person information session in St. John’s to explore the results of the Atlantic Wind Energy Supply Chain Assessment, led by Xodus Group and a team of local consultants. Sessions will provide a comprehensive look into the future of both offshore and onshore wind energy development in Atlantic Canada and what supplies and services are required to meet growing project demand. With a focus on enhancing local capabilities, these information sessions will address key questions and opportunities for businesses and communities in the region. Following the session, join us for the MRC Mixer at 5:00 pm — a great opportunity to continue the conversation and connect with others in the industry. Open to both members and non-members.

Information Session Highlights

  • The Future of Offshore and Onshore Wind: Explore the exciting growth potential of wind energy in Atlantic Canada, from the highly promising offshore wind sector to the expanding onshore wind projects.
  • Supply Chain Gaps & Opportunities: Understand the strengths, challenges, and gaps in the current wind energy supply chain and what it takes to develop a robust and competitive local industry.
  • Strategies for Local Involvement: Learn how your business or community can engage in the burgeoning wind energy sector and maximize local benefits from both offshore and onshore wind projects.
  • Pathways for Development: Discover actionable strategies to close the supply chain gaps, build strong partnerships, and expand workforce capacity to meet the demands of future wind energy projects.
