SUMMARY:Webinar | Atlantic Wind Energy Supply Chain Study
DESCRIPTION:Join Marine Renewables Canada (MRC) on January 7th for a webinar introducing the “Atlantic Wind Energy Supply Chain Assessment & Pathways for Supply Chain Development” project – an assessment of offshore and onshore wind energy supply chains in the provinces of Nova Scotia\, Newfoundland and Labrador\, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island commissioned by MRC with support from Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)\, Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables\, and Prince Edward Island Energy Corporation. \nThe aim of this study is to assess opportunities\, strengths\, and challenges in the existing Atlantic Canadian supply chain and identify pathways for ensuring the region has strong capabilities and capacity to support growth of offshore and onshore wind.  Xodus Group and its partners Angler Solutions\, Envigour Policy Consulting who are leading the study\, supported by an expert team of local industry advisors will provide an overview of the work to date and next steps. \nThis webinar is targeted at engaging local businesses and communities in Atlantic Canada that have interests in the wind energy supply chain and will:\n✓ Introduce attendees to the overall project objectives\n✓ Provide information on offshore/onshore wind supply chains\n✓ Detail what is entailed in the project development and execution process to give companies an idea of where they might fit and what products/services are required to support these industries \nIn addition\, we are also aiming to collect baseline information about local suppliers that will supplement research underway to determine existing and potential supply chain strengths and gaps in Atlantic Canada. Your insights\, paired with the results of an Atlantic Canada supply chain assessment\, will be synthesized into actionable recommendations that will establish sustainable industries\, maximize local benefits and content\, de-risk future. \nRegister for this webinar\, and complete the following intake form which will help inform the supply chain assessment component of the study. If you are unable to attend the webinar\, we still encourage and invite you to complete this intake form as the data you provide will be an important part of informing the study. \nAll responses to the intake form will be anonymized in the Final Report. \nFor more information about this initiative\, see our backgrounder.

SUMMARY:Webinar | Brazil & LATAM Offshore Wind Supply Chain Opportunities
DESCRIPTION:Marine Renewables Canada (MRC) invites you to join us for a webinar on Wednesday\, January 15\, 2025 exploring opportunities in offshore wind in Latin America\, with a focus on Brazil. \n\nBrazil\, and more broadly Latin America (LATAM)\, has the potential to be an important export market for Canadian offshore wind (OSW) capabilities. A few countries like Brazil\, Colombia and Chile are making strides in OSW development. MRC has delved deeper into the Brazilian market specifically\, and boarder LATAM region\, to gather market intelligence and better understand market potential and entry points for MRC members and Atlantic Canadian companies. \nWith support from Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)\, MRC has commissioned a study to ascertain the realistic commercial opportunities for Canadian firms in the LATAM OSW development markets\, with specific emphasis on Brazil\, and align those with the capacity and competitive capabilities of the Atlantic Canadian service and supply chain. This study is meant to provide specific actionable advice that can improve the chances of commercial success by Canadian industrial supply chain companies to capture contracts on commercial terms in support of the development of the Brazilian OSW sector and provide a broader overview of other countries in LATAM that hold potential for OSW development. \nAs a follow-up activity to this study\, MRC will be leading a mission to Brazil in June 2025. This mission will also include a side-visit to the State of Ceara\, located in the northeastern part of the country\, on the Atlantic coast\, where many of the OSW projects are poised to develop. \nJoin MRC’s upcoming webinar to learn more about: \n· Latin America’s OSW market\, with a focus on Brazil’s potential and what opportunities exist for MRC members and Atlantic Canadian companies \n· Preliminary results of the study led by Envigour Policy \n· Details on MRC’s planned 2025 mission to Brazil \n· A new database tool that has been created in conjunction with the study to assist Canadian companies in maximizing the benefits of cooperation and collaboration by helping to identify potential partners or gaps in the Brazilian supply chain.
